Pfu DNA polymerase (replace T4 DNA polymerase)

Pfu DNA polymerase is a thermostable enzyme isolated from Pyrococcus furiousus. The enzyme replicates DNA at 75°C, catalyzing the polymerisation of nucleotides into duplex DNA in the 5’—> 3’direction. Pfu DNA Polymerase possesses 3’ —> 5’ exonuclease (proofreading) activity. Pfu is can replace Klenow Fragment or T4 DNA polymerase.

Application:
1. Random priming labeling
2. 3' overhang removal to blunt ends
3. 5' overhang fill-in to blunt ends
